Our Commitment
Clearstone Financial is committed to making this website usable by as many people as possible, including people who use assistive technology such as screen readers, or who navigate primarily by keyboard. Accessibility is an ongoing effort rather than a one-time task, and we expect this statement to be updated as that effort continues.
Standard We Aim For
We aim for this website to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, an internationally recognized standard for web accessibility. This is a voluntary commitment: outside of government websites, Canadian accessibility law does not currently impose a mandatory WCAG standard on a business of our size. We are pursuing this standard because it is good practice, not because it is required of us, and we have not yet completed a full third-party accessibility audit against it.
Scope
This statement applies to the Clearstone Financial website at clearstonefinancial.ca. It does not extend to third-party websites we link to, or to documents and portals operated by our partners (for example, Vine Mortgage or IDC Worldsource), which maintain their own accessibility practices.
What We're Doing
As we build and update this website, we aim to use clear heading structure, descriptive link text, readable color contrast, and alternative text for meaningful images, and to keep the site navigable by keyboard as well as by mouse or touch. This is an ongoing process applied as pages are built and revised, rather than a completed, independently verified audit.
Known Limitations
Some tools embedded on this website — including mortgage and CMA calculators provided through third-party software, and our meeting-scheduling tool — are built and maintained by outside providers. We have not independently verified their accessibility conformance, and their accessibility may not fully match the standard we aim for on the rest of the site. If you experience a barrier with one of these embedded tools, please contact us using the information below and we will try to help you complete what you need another way, such as by phone or email.
