01

Our Target and Current Status

Our accessibility target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA.

Parts of the rebuilt website have been checked through automated and manual development testing. We have not completed a site-wide independent conformance evaluation of the website, including every page, complete process, and third-party experience.

We therefore do not currently claim that the website conforms to WCAG 2.2 Level AA.

02

Scope

This statement applies to the Clearstone Financial website at www.clearstonefinancial.ca, including the pages and Clearstone-controlled components identified in our most recent accessibility review.

Some pages may include or connect to tools, forms, booking experiences, documents or other services operated by third-party providers. Clearstone does not control the internal accessibility of those provider interfaces. Verified limitations and available alternatives will be described in this statement where they materially affect the visitor’s ability to use the site or complete a task.

03

What We Evaluate

Our development process includes automated accessibility checks and manual checks for keyboard use, visible focus, responsive reflow, enlarged text, text spacing, reduced motion, and use without JavaScript on selected pages.

These checks do not cover every accessibility requirement and are not a site-wide conformance evaluation.

Current development checks

  • Automated accessibility diagnosticsAutomated tooling flags common issues during development.
  • Keyboard useOperating interactive controls with a keyboard.
  • Visible focusA visible focus indicator on interactive elements.
  • Responsive reflowLayout reflow down to narrow viewport widths.
  • Enlarged textReadability with increased browser text size and zoom.
  • Text spacingResilience to user text-spacing overrides.
  • Reduced motionRespecting a reduced-motion preference.
  • No-JavaScript resilience on selected pagesCore content remaining available with scripting off.

Known Limitations and Alternatives

Where a task may not yet work fully for everyone, we describe what may happen, what we are doing, and an alternative way to get help.

Life-insurance analysis

Affected task
A third-party life-insurance analysis experience.
What may happen
Clearstone has tested how the configured experience loads on the live website and how it is reached by keyboard. The provider controls the accessibility of the interface inside the experience, which Clearstone has not fully evaluated. Before the experience loads, one press of the Tab key may move focus to an empty frame that is not scrolled into view.
What we are doing
Clearstone is evaluating the configured experience and will update this statement as verified provider-controlled limitations are confirmed.
Alternative
If you have difficulty using the experience, contact Clearstone by phone or email for help accessing the information or completing the task.

Mortgage calculators and forms

Affected task
Third-party mortgage calculators, forms and guided experiences.
What may happen
Clearstone has tested how these experiences load, are labelled and are reached by keyboard on the live website. The provider controls the accessibility of each tool’s own interface, which Clearstone has not fully evaluated.
What we are doing
Clearstone is evaluating the live experiences and documenting provider-controlled limitations and available alternatives.
Alternative
Contact Clearstone by phone or email if a tool prevents you from completing the task.

Appointment booking

Affected task
The third-party appointment-booking experience.
What may happen
Clearstone has tested the configured booking flow on the live website. On some Safari-based mobile browsers, the provider’s booking interface may display an oversized icon over the meeting-location options.
What we are doing
Clearstone is testing the configured experience and maintaining a direct Clearstone contact path.
Alternative
Call or email Clearstone for help arranging the next step.
05

Third-Party Services

Some website tasks are provided through services that Clearstone does not control internally. Clearstone can control the surrounding explanation, accessible naming, placement, fallback path and Clearstone contact options, but the provider controls the accessibility of its own interface.

We test configured third-party experiences as far as reasonably possible and document material user-facing limitations when they are verified. We do not claim that a provider’s interface is accessible or conforms to a particular standard without evidence.

Feedback and Help

07

How We Respond

We will review accessibility feedback and contact you about next steps. The time needed to resolve an issue can vary depending on the request and whether another provider controls the affected service.

08

Updates and Related Documents

This statement will be updated as material accessibility information is verified and approved. The Review status information at the top of the page identifies the current version.
