Terms and Conditions

These Terms explain the rules and boundaries that apply when you use the public Clearstone Financial website. Some tools, services or professional relationships are governed by additional documents or provider terms. Where your affirmative agreement is required, those terms will be presented to you at the relevant step.

Effective October 25, 2026
01

About these Terms and Clearstone

This public website is operated by Clearstone Financial, based in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. These Terms apply to the public website. Separate documents may govern professional services, applications, transactions and third-party services.

If you enter into a separate engagement, application or provider agreement, that document governs the subject it specifically addresses, subject to applicable law.

02

Using the website

You may use the public website for lawful personal and non-commercial information purposes. Do not interfere with the website or its security, attempt unauthorized access, impersonate another person, knowingly submit false or malicious information, infringe rights, send spam, or use automated methods in a manner that unreasonably burdens the site or circumvents stated restrictions. Clearstone may take reasonable steps to maintain the website and prevent harmful or unlawful use.

03

General information — not individualized advice or an offer

Information on this website is general and is provided for education, planning and discussion. It does not take account of your complete circumstances and is not legal, tax or accounting advice or individualized mortgage, insurance, insurance-based investment or other professional advice.

Website information does not by itself constitute a lender or insurer approval or commitment, confirmation of insurance coverage, a binding product recommendation or an offer where no legally valid offer is intended.

Rates, eligibility, tax results, returns, savings and other outcomes are not guaranteed.

If you proceed with a service or transaction, the applicable professional assessment and the relevant engagement, application, disclosure, consent, lender, insurer, brokerage, carrier or provider documents govern.

04

Website use does not by itself create a professional relationship

Browsing the website, using a calculator or preliminary tool, sending a general inquiry, submitting an insurance quote request, selecting a routing option or booking an introductory meeting does not by itself establish a professional engagement, approve an application, bind a lender or insurer, or place insurance coverage.

If you proceed, the applicable engagement, application, disclosure, consent, lender, insurer, brokerage, carrier or provider documents govern the relevant relationship.

Nothing in these Terms reduces duties imposed by those documents or by law.

05

Calculators, estimates, forms and results

Calculators, forms and similar tools provide estimates or other preliminary information based on the information entered and the assumptions, rounding, methodology, rules and data used by the applicable tool or provider.

Actual figures, eligibility and available products may differ after verification.

A website result is not a lender commitment, mortgage approval, confirmation of insurance coverage, tax determination, binding quote, product recommendation or guarantee unless the applicable authorized party clearly confirms that status in the governing documents.

The insurance quote request is different: it collects a request so Clearstone can follow up, and it returns only a reference for that request, not an estimate, quote, approval or confirmation of coverage. The reference is not a policy number. Any quote, application or coverage decision comes later, through the applicable insurer’s own documents.

Read the notice provided with each tool or result.

06

Third-party services, embeds and external links

Some website functions are operated by another provider, and some links take you to a separate website or service. The relevant interface or notice should identify that handoff.

The other provider’s applicable terms, privacy notice and accessibility practices may apply.

A link does not create or expand a relationship beyond what Clearstone or the linked page expressly describes.

Some links intentionally identify Clearstone’s disclosed providers, professional relationships, licensors or public authorities.

Nothing in this section limits Clearstone’s responsibility for its own statements, selections, integrations or obligations.

07

Intellectual property and trademarks

The website contains material owned by Clearstone and material licensed to Clearstone or used with permission from others. Copyright, trademark and other rights may also belong to third parties.

You may view, print or save reasonable portions of the public website for your own personal, non-commercial reference.

Other reproduction, republication, distribution, modification or commercial use requires permission unless permitted by applicable law.

Any specific third-party licence or notice continues to apply to the material it governs.

08

Website currency and availability

Clearstone works to keep its own website information useful and current, but laws, rates, product criteria, third-party information and service availability can change.

Important information should be verified with the applicable authorized professional or provider before it is relied upon.

The website or a particular feature may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, security, provider or technical issues.

09

Responsibility and legal limitations

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits a liability or duty that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

The website-information, tool and provider limitations described above define the preliminary nature of those website interactions.

Nothing in this section limits Clearstone’s responsibility for its own statements, selections, integrations or non-excludable professional, statutory, privacy or consumer obligations.

10

Governing law and mandatory rights

To the extent these Terms form part of a binding agreement, they are governed by the laws of Prince Edward Island and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, subject to any mandatory law or right that applies to you.

12

Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms prospectively to reflect changes to the website, its services, providers or applicable requirements.

Each operative version will show its effective date.

We will use a prominent website notice for material changes and will provide direct notice or request fresh agreement where required by law or where a binding agreement is materially changed.

A later version does not retroactively alter the terms that applied to earlier conduct unless applicable law requires otherwise.
